Anniversary Weekend Workshop: Focus on Backbends
with Tessa

The workshops allow time to investigate and deepen our understanding of the practice. A multi-day workshop also offers the spaciousness to work our way through, opening into tight tissue and congestion steadily and gradually so that our bodies respond more readily and our minds become quieter and more reflective. 

Over the long weekend we will work through a broad range of asana groups with a focus overall on the backbending actions.  We will look at how to access energetic balance (energetic support) so that understanding can be carried through the various postures. Practicing so that energetic support can be felt (known) allows us to understand for ourselves how to practice so that our practice engages us and can become cohesive, comprehensive, dynamic and integrated.  A full workshop also allows us to work with repetitions which the backbends respond particularly well to. Workshops can help to level up our practice, perfect for the New Year! 

G and L1 students who have been practicing with us consistently for one year minimum also welcome. If in doubt please email Tessa. (Alternative postures/modifications will be given for the inversions for those not yet practicing them).
